Keep traditional technology alive

While LULUSNOW HQ is in Hongkong, our handicrafts are handmade by a number of small family-owned businesses in Japan, Korea, Philippines, and China, who specialize in the traditional craft of crochet.

Each LULUSNOW handicraft is 100% handmade, which creates employment opportunities for people - especially women - who live in the communities where we produce our handicraft and source our quality yarn.

Many of our craftspeople are mothers or older women who are now able to supplement their family income while working from home.

Our yarn is a priority purchase of overstocked high-quality yarn, sourced from neighboring cooperatives in Japan and South Korea to minimize our carbon footprint and maximize the benefit to local communities.

Because of our business model, we are able to provide stable, ongoing work year-round, ensuring craftspeople remain employed even during the off-season when demand is reduced.​
